Your spotlight on local services

What our Volunteers do

Health Connectors can volunteer in any of our roles which fall into three categories; Observer, Community or Strategic and are not limited to one role. This means you can learn new things and enjoy new experiences throughout your time with us. We care about our Health connectors and understand that flexibility is really important so you choose when to give your time.

All of our volunteers are called Health Connectors and can get involved with any of the roles below...

Observer -

  • Enter & View
  • Mystery Shopper

Community -

  • Outreach Representative
  • Youthwatch
  • Social Media Volunteer

Strategic -

  • Report & Research Writer
  • Meeting & Network Representative

In addition to the above roles, we also have Health Connectors that help in the Healthwatch office with administrative tasks!

What is Healthwatch Darlington?

Healthwatch Darlington is the independent champion for people using local health and social care services in the Darlington borough. We listen to what people like about services and what could be improved. We share their views with those with the power to make change happen. People can also speak to us to find information about health and social care services available locally.

Our sole purpose is to help make care better for people.
