What our Volunteers do

Healthwatch Darlington provide new ways for more people to contribute their views and experiences on health and social care services. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:


  • Receive regular newsletters and updates
  • Complete questionnaires or comment on Facebook and Twitter
  • Attend Healthwatch Events


Information and Signposting

  • Help organise  and assist at Healthwatch Events
  • Assist at Access Points


Health Connector

  • Help promote Healthwatch Darlington within your communities
  • Gather feedback from your communities
  • Help connect your community to the services in Darlington


Enter and View

  • Visit and observe local health and social care services


Experienced Administrator:

  • Help support administration
  • Research and report writing


Youthwatch Member:

  • 11-25 year olds can join monthly focus groups
  • Help shape services for young people
  • Help at events (media and design)
  • Healthwatch Champion (gather feedback from your school, colleges or group)


What is Healthwatch Darlington?

Healthwatch Darlington Limited is an independent consumer champion for health and social care in Darlington. The organisation helps to shape and improve local health and social care in our community. Healthwatch Darlington Limited is part of the Healthwatch national network, established by the Government to ensure local patients and users have a greater input to shaping and designing local services.
