Your spotlight on local services

Food For Thought events during December

After a very successful first year, feeding and supporting over 1,500 people in the town, Food For Thought Darlington (FFTD) is planning to hold two events in December:

A pre-Xmas extravaganza on Saturday 15th December at Darlington Community Fire Station (DL1 5LR) 1-4 pm - where they will serve hot food and provide access to special xmas food parcels, along with their usual household essentials, warm clothing, winter bedding, books, plants and toys

A post-Xmas blues buster on Friday 28th December at Northlands Church, North Road (DL1 2EL) 12.30-3.00 pm - where they will serve a three-course menu and provide music and entertainment, along with access to all the essentials, clothing and bedding, they usually offer.

These events operate on a Pay-As-You-Feel (PAYF) basis, where there is no obligation to make any cash payments for any of the items available, or support they offer. FFTD pride themselves on their warm, inclusive welcome to all.

A copy of the flyer/poster is attached for these events. It would be great if you could print some out and put them up, or pass them out to members of staff, clients or service users. They need help to get the message out there - thank you!
