Your spotlight on local services

NHS Self Care campaign

The CCGs in the North East and North Cumbria have agreed to work on a range of large scale initiatives to help tackle prescribing issues which are applicable to all areas. One of these areas is self care.

To help promote this initiative to members of the public - they would greatly appreciate your help with sharing this information within your community.

Subjects covered by the campaign include:

  • Hayfever and allergies
  • Holiday medication
  • Aches and pains
  • Seasonal ailments

The website https://mymedicinesmyhealth.org.uk/has a range of printable resources to download including posters, leaflets and images to share on social media here: https://mymedicinesmyhealth.org.uk/downloads/

The website also contains topical blogs and a range of other useful information.

There are a limited number of printed copies of the promotional materials available. Please email necsu.marketing@nhs.net to request copies of these.

The link to the website is being distributed widely to a range of stakeholders including local authorities, public health teams, HealthWatch, MPs and children’s groups along with practices, pharmacies, walk-in centres and A&E departments.

Please follow us on social media and share our posts to increase awareness of the self care options available to patients and the public:
