Why should I join?

the CQC's online participation platform, CitizenLab is a new digital engagement tool which provides your local Healthwatch with another opportunity to connect with CQC. Your contributions to the platform will help inform and influence decisions about the quality of health and social care, encouraging services to improve and helping the public make informed decisions about their care. They are using this platform to engage with all local Healthwatch and the local communities that you represent on a range of topics. You’ll be able to get involved in many different ways; sharing your expertise, experience and thoughts through discussions, reviewing documents, polls, surveys and idea boards.

What projects can you get involved in?

Just a few of the projects which we have recently asked for comments and views about include:

• Gathering feedback on our new style inspection reports for adult social care

• Having your say on the proposed changes to the well-led assessment framework

• A survey asking for your views and experiences of receiving care and treatment from health and social care services during winter pressures

On the platform, you can post ideas about what your local Healthwatch thinks CQC should focus on for future work or you can use this function to ask any questions you have about CQC’s role and current projects. The platform is monitored regularly so all ideas and questions will be responded to in a timely manner.
