Due to the rapidly developing situation, subsequent government updates on the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the UK Chief Medical Officers raising the risk to the public to high, we at HWD have made the decision, as a precautionary measure, to postpone all outreach visits within the community as well as our volunteering activities.

Update - important information

We are following the latest Coronavirus guidance (17th March 2020) from Healthwatch England.

Our office is still open during our operational hours 9am to 5pm but with limited staff members due to the current directive to work from home where possible. This means our staff can work remotely and still be contactable via phone, email and social media for you to share your experiences or enquire about local health and care services.  It’s business as usual but please do not visit our office in person because we must not put our staff, you or the wider public at risk of infection.  Thank you for your understanding and please do take care everyone.

NHS England have also produced a list of common questions about coronavirus, covering advice for you and your family, how it's caught and spread, prevention, self-isolation, testing and treatment and foreign travel.

We hope to return to normal really soon but in the meantime don't forget to stay involved by following us online, calling us by phone or sending us an email!
