June is LGBT Pride Month!
All this month is LGBT Pride month, recognising the influence LGBT people have had in the UK and around the world.
LGBT pride is the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people as a social group. Pride, as opposed to shame and social stigma, is the predominant outlook that bolsters most LGBT rights movements.
As COVID-19 forces lots of Pride events to be cancelled, a number of organisation at home and abroad have joined forces to bring these celebrations online. These will comprise of a series of gigs, comedy shows, panel discussions and arts-based events. You can find out lots more about all of these events here.
