The museum will re-open at 10am next Tuesday, the 14th July!

They've had to make some changes to keep their staff and visitors safe.

For now ALL visitors including Annual Pass holders, Friends of the Museum and partner organisations will need to book a ticket via Eventbrite. This is because they need to limit numbers and keep contact details to comply with the Test and Trace measures in place. You will need to show your booking confirmation and pay or show your pass or membership card on arrival at the museum. If possible, you should pay by contactless. Get your tickets:

Museum Admission tickets

Admission prices have been reduced to the following:

All adults: £3.75

Children under 16 free

New annual passes are £10

Current Annual Passes and those bought from now will be extended until December 2021.

If you are unable to book online, please phone the museum on:

They've had to close a couple of their rooms, and some activities won’t be available, but they are trying to make sure they keep disruption to a minimum.

All regular activities (such as Station Scamps, their Dementia Café, and Railway Workers coffee mornings) and talks, events and holiday activities continue to be postponed.

They look forward to welcoming you! In the meantime, check out their Facebook page to keep up-to-date with developments as they continue to get the museum ready for re-opening!
