North East Family Fun - What to do when it rains in the North East

If you're stuck inside due to the weather and not sure what to do with your kids to keep them entertained, North East Family Fun have some great suggestions for places to visit.

The weather isn't being too kind to us in the North East this week, so you might be wondering what you can do to enjoy some family time and keep your kids entertained.  But don't worry - North East Family Fun have come up with a list of more than 20 places and attractions you can visit, no matter what the weather!

The list includes:

  •  Preston Park Museum and Grounds is open now - £10/£15 for a family annual pass - pre-book online.
  • Tynemouth Aquarium (turn up or buy discounted tickets online £37.35 per family of 4)
  • Angry Birds Adventure Golf (pre-book or turn up £6.95- £8.95 per person)
  • Crafty Corner in South Shields (pre-book from £5)
  • Victoria Tunnel: Ouseburn Trust tours (opening 24 July - pre-book tickets, £30 per single household/bubble up to six people)
  • Segedunum Roman Fort & Museum (from 27 July, £4.95 per adult, under 16s free. pre-book in advance)
  • Head of Steam, Darlington Railway Museum
  • Dolphin Centre in Darlington 
  • Darlington Play Plaza  
  • Create and Paint in Darlington
