National Grief Awareness Week 2nd - 8th December 2020

National Grief Awareness Week encourages us all to break the silence, engage on this topic without stigma and learn to ask for and provide help when we need it.

Most people will experience grief at some point in their lives, throughout National Grief Awareness Week people are encouraged to share their stories to learn from each other and remind ourselves that we're not alone.

The aim of National Grief Awareness Week is 

  • To raise awareness of he impact of grief
  • To make people aware of the breadth of support available
  • To create a unified voice and national platform for all bereavement services

Darlington Borough Council will light up the Town Hall, The Clock Tower and the Hippodrome in yellow at 6.00pm on Tuesday 8th December to coincide with the lighting up of St Paul's Cathedral to show solidarity to those who are grieving.
