Briefly the presentations are:-

Celebrating our journey so far: Northumberland and County Durham approach to implementing MHST in education settings

In 2018/19 Northumberland and County Durham were successfully chosen in the first wave as two of 12 Trailblazer sites to pilot a new mental health and wellbeing programme with children and young people in education settings.  This has provided the opportunity of trialling new ways of collaborative working with partner organisations delivering early interventions and initiatives as part of the graduated approach to mental health support. A key feature of the initiative is that it has been designed to complement and integrate with existing services and support structures that feed into education providers, rather than replace what is already offered.  Future expansion has been confirmed for both areas into Waves 8 and 9 in 2023/24.

The presentations will discuss similarities and differences between Be You (Northumberland) and Piece of Mind (County Durham) covering staff structures, governance, core functions, success, challenges and early impact

Parent Peer Support at Darlington MHST

In this presentation you will hear from a parent about the success of commissioning peer support for parents at Darlington MHST

Whilst we don’t have enough time to celebrate the amazing work of MHSTs across our region, we hope that the event will help teams feel a sense of connectivity and pride as well as learning about different approaches.  If you would like to submit a poster or briefing of the work you are undertaking please contact philippa.thompson@nhs.net to ensure this is circulated to participants prior to the event.

Please register no later than 15th March 2022

Joining will be via Teams with the link to follow nearer the time of the meeting once you have registered.
