Have you received an Autism diagnosis as an adult? - Integrated Care System (ICS) Autism Peer Research Project

Peer researchers from Your Voice Counts are carrying out an Integrated Care System (ICS) Autism Peer Research Project looking at the support people receive before, during and after the process of being diagnosed with autism.

As part of this research, they are carrying out a survey to learn more about the diagnostic assessment experiences of adults with autism.

They would like to hear your ideas on the types of support you would have found helpful before and after receiving an autism diagnosis. They will be sharing your ideas with the NHS in order to help improve autism assessment for those going through it in the future.

They would like to offer other ways for you to have your voice heard.

You can email them your thoughts at yvc.uk@nhs.net

You can phone them on 0191 478 6472. Reception staff can take your number and have one of their peer researchers call you back.

The questions they want to ask you are:

  • What support would have been helpful for you while waiting on an autism diagnosistic assessment?
  • What support would have been helpful for you after you received your autism diagnosis?
  • Who do you think would be best to provide this support?

They are very grateful for your time and would like to offer every participant the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw for a £100 shopping voucher.
