Health Literacy Grants - Apply Now!

Health literacy grants are available to organisations who want to make health literacy easier for the people they work with.

Grants are available to:

  • Help people develop health literacy skills.
  • Make information easier for people to access or understand.
  • Help organisations do health literacy better.

North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board states:

The North East and North Cumbria (NENC) has some of the worst health literacy levels in the country. People with low health literacy might find it hard to:

· Get the information they need.

· Understand information.

· Check if it’s trustworthy.

· Use it to make informed choices.

If you are successful, you will be asked to:

· Spend the money by 31st of March 2025

· Write up your project as a short case study

· Present your project to us at one of our team meetings.

Deadline for applications: please send your applications to stsft.nenchealthliteracy@nhs.net by Friday 1st of November 2024.

Please contact Alice Gray if you require any further information - stsft.nenchealthliteracy@nhs.net or alice.gray9@nhs.net
