The County Durham and Darlington NHS Health Improvement Fund 2025 - applications now open

Applications for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Health Improvement Fund 2025 is now open. 

Up to £7,500 can be applied for and the closing date is 10 August 2025.

As stated on the funding description, the Fund can support projects to:

  • Enrich communities: improving the physical and mental health of local people such as by running a weekly community physical exercise class or skills workshop
  • Build individual resilience: improving access to health and wellbeing support information such as by delivering a weekly support group to help people increase their confidence
  • Build community resilience: providing access to health and wellbeing resources designed to respond, prevent, or help people recover from certain mental or physical health challenges
  • Share decision making: working together with local people to identify and address health and wellbeing challenges that they experience

Who can apply? As Point North states:

Your organisation does not have to be a registered charity to apply but must have charitable aims. Examples include:

  • Registered charities and CIOs
  • Community/voluntary groups that have a constitution
  • Social enterprises (CICs, companies limited by guarantee) that are registered with the appropriate body
