Free online training on illegal money lending - ‘How to spot a loan shark’

The England Illegal money lending team are introducing a number of information sessions designed to give you the know-how to spot illegal money lending and learn about the agencies responsible for regulation and investigation.

Introductory Training ‘How to spot a loan shark’

Training covering basic information about illegal money lending. Content includes a discussion of legislation and Government Agencies responsible for regulation and investigation around money lending. You will learn how to spot the signs and what to do.

Follow-on Training (Introductory training should be completed first)

Training session designed to follow on from the introductory illegal money lending training. Participants are encouraged to reflect on barriers that might make it harder for people to seek help.
