Important update from Tandem - End of LEAP project
Tandem have unfortunately announced the end of the LEAP project.
The following is an important announcement directly from Tandem.
Tandem have been providing support to people across the Tees Valley area as part of The National Lottery funded project, LEAP. The LEAP project has been delivered by a partnership of 10 organisations, providing support that includes:
- Maximising financial support and benefits access
- Job search, training and employability skills
- Emotional wellbeing: building resilience, confidence and self-esteem

Access to community groups
The funding for the LEAP project is ending at the end of November and unfortunately we are no longer able to accept referrals.
We are hoping to be able to offer similar support again from early next year and will contact you once we’re able to accept referrals.
In Darlington, we continue to be able to support people between the ages of school leaver to 25 years old with support including:

One to one job search support (up-to-date CVs, support to complete application forms, interview preparation, support to attend interviews).

Personal development and wellbeing support (see details below)

Access to vocational training, based on skills needs and labour market needs (see details below).

Employability and life skills training (see details below).

Starting working support (support with travel / clothes / equipment).

In-work support (particularly in first few weeks).
