Darlington TableTop Community and The Queerish Bookshop Book Club

The Darlington Tabletop community and The Queerish Bookshop Bookclub have now started using Darlington Connect for their groups.
Darlington TableTop Community:
 
Sessions held weekly at Darlington Connect - Saturdays 5pm - 9pm 
Free and Drop in  - over 18's only or 16 and over if accompanied by an adult.
 
Darlington Tabletop community is a local inclusive group ran by Jessie Hall who is herself autistic, it is open to everyone to join and runs it through donations. 
 
The group is a space where people can come together and play board/card games ( large selection of games), it is also a space where people can make friends/reduce social isolation and have conversations in an open and supportive atmosphere (peer - peer support). By people coming together to play these games and socialise it also has a positive affect on their wellbeing.
 
The Queerish Bookshop - Book club
 
Held monthly at Darlington Connect on the third Monday of the month 7-8pm
Free and Drop in * attendees pay for their own book each month etc
 
Must have read/or attempted to read the months selected book  (books selected to read before next group session are advertised on facebook page and selected in the monthly sessions)
 
The group is a welcoming and inclusive group where people come together to read and discuss LGBTQ+ books. It is also a space where people can make new friends, and meet people with shared experiences in a supportive environment ( peer to peer support) with opportunity during or after to discuss any thoughts/experiences they have -wellbeing.
