Healthy Hearts Roadshow in Darlington
The roadshow aims to help people better understand their health and access preventative support in a relaxed, community setting.
It will take place between 16-20 March 2026, 9.30am-4.30pm.
Members of the public will be able to receive a free 20-minute Healthy Heart Check. We can check your:
- cholesterol levels (fats in your blood)
- blood pressure
- body mass index (BMI) (height and weight)
- average blood sugar levels (HbA1c test)
Participants will get their results on the day. The checks help people understand their overall health and, where needed, take early preventative action to reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Alongside the heart health checks, there will also be other local health teams available. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak to professionals about:
- anything related to child health and wellbeing
- teeth and gum health
- support to stop smoking
- support with alcohol or drug use
There will also be free tea, coffee and snacks available from the STRIDE Coffee Bike, helping create a welcoming space for people to drop in and have a chat.
