TEWV - Could you be a Governor for 2026?
The following is from Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust.
📢Our 2026 Governor Elections are now open
If you’ve ever thought about having a say in how mental health and learning disabilities services are run in your area, this could be for you.
Governors play a vital role in our Trust with responsibilities including:
- Representing the views of patients, carers, stakeholders and the wider public in our communities.
- Approving key decisions and helping shape the future of mental health and learning disabilities services.
- Seeking assurance from the board of governors and holding the non-executive directors accountable for the performance of the board.
This year we have 14 public vacancies. We’d like to fill as many of these as possible within this round of elections to ensure the voices of people within our regions are heard.
No previous experience is needed, and training and support is provided for ALL governors.
