Waiting Well in Social Care: Participants Needed!

A researcher at the University of York is currently working on an National Institute for Health and Care funded research project exploring Waiting Well in Social Care

The study focuses on people’s experiences of waiting, for example, waiting for a needs assessment, for a care and support plan, or for care to begin.

They are looking to speak with people who have current or recent experience of waiting for social care to take part in a one‑to‑one research interview. By listening to people’s experiences and perspectives, they hope to identify ways the process could be improved in the future.

They also have an online information and sign‑up form where potential participants can learn more about the research and, if they wish, share their contact details with the research team.

Interviews will last around an hour, will be anonymous, and participants will receive a £40 shopping voucher as a thank you for their time.
