Darlington Mental Health Network Pilot Review Report 2025

Healthwatch Darlington is pleased to share with you the Darlington Mental Health Network Pilot Review Report 2025.

In April 2024, in response to an urgent need for greater collaboration and coordination in mental health services, Healthwatch Darlington re-established the Mental Health Network. This report reflects on a successful year of partnership, knowledge-sharing, and community-centred action to improve mental health support across Darlington.

Key highlights include:

  • Strengthened partnerships across statutory and voluntary and community sectors.
  • Improved referral pathways and increased confidence in signposting.
  • The creation of new initiatives, including peer support for women and gambling-related harm reduction.
  • A community-led, evidence-based approach to shaping services.

Thanks to the dedication of everyone involved, the pilot has secured future sustainability under the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Darlington Primary Care Network (PCN), with Healthwatch Darlington continuing to lead.

We hope this report inspires ongoing collaboration as we enter the next phase of this vital network. Your continued engagement and support remain invaluable.
