This will be a simple, free blood test carried out by qualified nurses and the results analysed in a medical laboratory.

The testing will be carried out in the function room of the Freemasons Hall, Upper Archer Street, Darlington.  DL3 6LS.

This is a free test so all that needs to be done is to register with them using this website

This will open up an on-line booking system which will enable you to log on and make an appointment at a time of your choosing on the Saturday between the times of 11.00am  and 4.00pm.

Over the coming months the planning and organising of this major undertaking will be carried out in conjunction with Darlington Memorial Hospital and, hopefully, a local G.P. practice.

The blood test will be offered free to any man over 40 who register with them.  The cost of this event, and the associated  laboratory testing, will be paid for by the Lions Club.  It is hoped to finance it from their own fund raising efforts but they will be seeking sponsorship from local businesses especially those with a high proportion of male employees. However they also have a "Just Giving " link where anyone with an interest in supporting this cause can donate direct to their charity account (See below).

If you would like to contribute to their appeal fund to finance this project you can make a donation through this link.
