The libraries may be closed, but staff are working hard to continue to provide the best service they can, particularly for their older residents who may be feeling lonely or isolated.

An Interim Library Delivery Service has been set up and is available to all existing library users who are 60 or over, who may be self-isolating in a bid to help minimise loneliness.

Library users who may already have books have also been reassured that there will be no fines for overdue books – keep them safe at home and return them once the libraries reopen.

Other library users can also access a wide range of eBooks and eAudiobooks via Darlington Libraries online services.
