Volunteers have been supporting Healthwatch Darlington from home during the pandemic in an effort to contribute to the organisations increased information sharing and signposting to help service users, carers and their families through these uncertain times.

Youthwatch Darlington’s volunteers wanted to do something to help their peers during the pandemic, knowing the impact Covid-19 may have on the mental health & wellbeing of young people. They produced an online awareness raising campaign called ‘Looking after your mental well-being during the pandemic’.

This campaign along with links to local services, national helplines and online support has been shared across social media platforms, with schools/colleges, health services, charitable organisations and via Healthwatch Darlington’s 3 times weekly Covid-19 e-newsletter.
