Face covering exemptions for those with disabilities and health conditions on Arriva bus services

Those with a disability or a health condition that may restrict your breathing are exempt from wearing face coverings on Arriva bus services.

From 15th June it is mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport in light of the COVID-19 pandemic to help protect yourself and those around you.  However, those with a disability or health condition are exempt from this new rule. 

Arriva have introduced new exemption cards that you can print out and show to your driver when you get on any Arriva bus service if this exemption applies to you.  These face covering exemption cards are in addition to their assistance cards for various disabilities to make people aware of, for example, a hidden disability.
