International Rescue Committee UK - North East Refugee Employment Support Programme
International Rescue Committee UK are excited to open registration and enrolment for the second phase of the NHS ICB Northeast Employment Support Programme, supporting clients across Newcastle, Gateshead, and Tees Valley.
The NHS-funded, health-informed employment programme supports refugees, particularly those with physical, cognitive, or mental health challenges (including self-identified conditions), to move closer to sustainable employment.
Programme focus:
- Industry-specific Job Readiness Training (JRT) aligned to sector expectations
- Sector-focused ESOL (Vocational ESOL) to build workplace vocabulary and communication skills
- One-to-one coaching and tailored casework support
- In-work support to improve retention and employment stability
- Hybrid model of support, combining in-person and online delivery
