Whizz-Kidz - Equipment for disabled children

Are you the parent of a disabled child and struggle to find affordable equipment such as a wheelchair to help them live comfortably and maintain good mobility? That's where Whizz-Kidz can help.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused hardship for many families, not least those with disabled children, with a lack of money available to purchase essential equipment for their child.

Whizz-Kidz provides a range of mobility equipment to children and young people with a physical disability to give them independence at home, at school and at play.

If your local NHS Wheelchair Service does not provide equipment to meet the essential mobility needs of your child then Whizz-Kidz may able to help.

They provide mobility equipment including manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, buggies and trikes.  Not only that, but they also provide some sports wheelchairs for children and young people with a physical disability enabling them to take part in sports such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.  Please Note: sports wheelchairs are allocated based on the differing needs of an individual.

Whizz-Kidz employs a clinical team of therapists and engineers who assess for mobility equipment directly to ensure it is suitable and correctly fitted. They are encouraged to prescribe appropriate equipment from an agreed list which helps Whizz-Kidz make best use of the funding they receive.

More information on how they can help you, including how they are funded, is available on the Whizz-Kidz - Equipment for disabled children webpage
