Place2Be - Free online Mental Health Champions - Foundation Programme to help teachers gain a deeper understanding of Mental Health

Are you a teacher beginning the new academic year after lockdown? Would you be interested in a free online course to further develop your understanding of children and young people's mental health?

Teachers play a crucial role in supporting children and young people's mental health, but a recent survey showed that just one in five teachers feel confident about tools or strategies to recognise and support emotional problems amongst pupils.

That's why the wonderful team at Place2Be are pleased to be able to offer this course free to qualified teachers and school-based staff in the UK.

This online children’s mental health training course developed from their work in schools, enhances professionals’ understanding of children’s mental health and introduces approaches that foster positive wellbeing in schools and communities. They have versions for teachers, student teachers and youth workers.
