Kids Kabin are looking for a creative, imaginative and self-motivated person to join their new Middlesbrough project. They take mobile activities out onto the streets for children and young people to learn new skills and increase their confidence. This includes a smoothie bike, kitchen, pottery wheel, woodwork and bike workshops, all on the back of our bikes!!

Kids Kabin is looking to appoint a Project Worker for its new Middlesbrough project

18 hours worked over three days Rate of pay £10 per hour £9,360

Closing date for applications 5pm Friday 12th February 2021

Interview week commencing 22nd February 2021 Due to Covid-19 restrictions this may be over Zoom with a follow up socially distanced face to face meeting in an outdoor space.

About Kids Kabin

Kids Kabin uses creative and practical educational activities to give children living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods the opportunity to achieve and succeed. Their core values are Creativity, Opportunity and Respect. Kids Kabin has been running in Newcastle for 25 years and now brings opportunities to over 1000 children and young people each year. Having completed a successful pilot programme in Teesside in 2018, they are now developing Kids Kabin Middlesbrough.

About the job

The Project Worker of Kids Kabin Middlesbrough will work with the Project Manager and Project Development Worker to assist in developing, creating and delivering a variety of activity workshops, trips and camps and build positive relationships with local organisations and communities in South and East Middlesbrough. They deliver street based activities including a mobile smoothie bike, potter’s wheel, kitchen, woodwork and bike maintenance, all on the back of our bikes!! The Project Worker will be supported by the Project Manager.

Due to current Covid restrictions they have adapted their delivery of activities to include creativity packs for children to complete at home and interactive Zoom sessions.
