BNF Healthy Eating Week will take place from 14 to 18 June 2021, taking all of the UK on its ‘Find your healthier you’ journey!

  • Keep moving – promoting the importance of being active for health.  

Did you know almost a third of 5-10 year olds eat less than 1 portion of veg per day, The Food Foundation have published 'Veg Facts 2021' a report which looks at how much veg we are eating in the UK.

The report looks at

  • How much veg are we eating?
  • How much veg is in the supply chain?
  • How do we eat our veg?
  • Are we buying more or less veg than in the past? And are our buying habits changing?
  • Why should we eat more veg?
  • How do we encourage more veg consumption?

A series of fruit and vegetable characters have been designed and coproduced by young volunteers from Youthwatch Darlington and Public Health Children & Young People Lead, Kelly Rose to raise awareness, inspiring young people to make healthier choices.
