Unwanted smart phones, tablets and laptops needed!

Many families struggle to get online. To help more people do digital, and to support our green way of working, we are encouraging people to donate unwanted devices; such as phones, tablets and laptops, in a safe, green way to help others.

We need lots of devices to make a big difference!

How you can help

Spread the word – is your business is upgrading the IT system? Needing to dispose of old tablets? Upgrading staff mobile smart phones? Are you or any of your employees, family or friends planning on getting a new device for Christmas, or are due a smart phone upgrade? Please consider donating the unwanted ones.

Before you do donate, ensure the device is in working order, has a working charger if possible, and has had a factory reset carried out to remove personal data.

Then, simply drop off at one of the Let’s do digital collection points:

Reception areas of:

The Dolphin Centre
Crown Street Library (and Cockerton when open)
Head of Steam Railway Museum

All devices will be professionally wiped before being recycled.
