•    The survey will take roughly 15 minutes to complete.
•    All responses will be recorded and analysed anonymously.
•    The deadline for completing this survey is Monday 28th Feb at midday.

About the research project: This survey forms part of a wider research project which is being carried by the Alcohol and Families Alliance (AFA) into the impact of drinking alcohol on intimate partner relationships. The results of this survey, along with information gathered from more in-depth interviews, will be collated and analysed to create a research report. The research report launched later this year. It will highlight the needs of those affected and be used to influence decision makers to improve services.

About the AFA: The Alcohol and Families Alliance is an alliance of organisations from across the voluntary and statutory sectors united in reducing the harms experienced by families as a result of alcohol.

What do we mean when we say 'affected by' a partner/ ex's drinking?

  • You are currently, or have previously been, negatively impacted by the alcohol consumption of a partner/ ex partner.
  • The negative effects of their drinking may be current or historic.
  • Your partner does not necessarily have to drink frequently, excessively or be dependent on alcohol for you to be negatively affected by their drinking.

If this applies to you, the AFA would like to hear from you.
