Do you know an older person interested in exploring the internet but unsure how?

Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington is excited to announce that it is now offering a new digital inclusion service to support older people to get online.

They have trained volunteers available to inspire older people to make the most of digital technology and help them to navigate the ‘digital world’. ‘Digital Champion’ drop-in sessions are running every Monday 2pm-4pm at Bradbury House in Darlington. This session is free to attend for all. Older people can simply come along, bring their device, and they will be greeted by a Digital Champion happy to help.

Digital Champions can also conduct home visits for those in need. To arrange this service, please contact the charity on 01325 362832 or email enquiries@ageuknyd.org.uk.

In addition, Age UK North Yorkshire and Darlington can provide technology on a loan basis to older people who do not otherwise have access. If someone you know does not own a device or owns an outdated device, the charity can provide them with a tablet and mobile internet connection on a 6-8 week loan at no charge. Please note this service is only available to people 65+ with an annual income under £16,190.
