MECC Train the Trainer course - Tuesday 13th June

Would you like to become a 'Make Every Contact Count' trainer in your local area? Now you can, with this MECC Train the Trainer course.

The MECC approach enables you to use the many conversations you already have every day with service users/carers/families to talk about opportunities to improve their health by addressing factors such as smoking, alcohol, diet, physical activity, social isolation and mental wellbeing. It is a whole person approach acknowledging individual social circumstances such as finance, employment, social support and housing that all impact on people’s wellbeing. If you are you passionate about supporting people with their wellbeing and you would like to lead on MECC in your area or team, this training is for you!

You don’t have to have had previous MECC training, you just need to attend a one-off half day training day session - on Tuesday 13th June. Town Hall, Darlington, 12:30 – 16:00 - where you will be provided with all of the resources and information you need to deliver the core MECC training to your colleagues and communities.
