She’s at it again – Michelle’s next challenge!
Soon after leaving Healthwatch, I’ll be taking on my next personal challenge: returning to the Inca Trail in Peru to raise funds for St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington. This year is particularly meaningful for me, it marks 30 years since the loss of my sister, Jinny, to bone cancer and 21 years since my own cancer diagnosis. Taking on this challenge is my way of honouring Jinny’s memory, recognising my own journey, and giving something back to a local organisation that provides such vital care and support to families when they need it most.
St Teresa’s Hospice delivers outstanding, free end-of-life and palliative care for people across Darlington and beyond. Their work is only possible thanks to the generosity of the community, and I am proud to be doing my part to support them.
