Community Grocery Store - 1st year anniversary celebration
The following is from the Edge Centre, Darlington.
In Dec 2024 The community Grocery Store at the front of the building became a reality. It had been two and a half years in the making but now, after its first-year operation, it is evident how it has been the vital next step to providing and catalysing a fuller programme of community services at Corporation Road.
We would like to celebrate that Journey and the First Anniversary of The Grocery Store by sharing with you how, with the advent of the Grocery Store, The sum of the parts at our Corporation Road site became far greater than the whole.
We have a Networking Lunch lined up for you which will be followed by a few short presentations. Those presentations will talk about the value of a trusted community in the times we are living in and with the stress those times brings to those who are less fortunate and struggling to go forward.
The presentations will be followed by an opportunity to explore what is happening at our Corporation Road site and talk to some of the people involved.
The event will be on 28th November starting at 12:00pm. The lunch and presentations will be finished by no later than 2:00pm. Any further exploration of the services will follow on for those who are interested.
