Round the World Cooking - Every Tuesday - 10am till 12pm – 2nd June to 30th June - McNay Street Family Hub, Darlington DL3 6SW - 5 weeks
Learn how to prepare and cook dishes from around the world. No prior cooking experience required.
Upskill for Employment
Our five-day Employment Academy courses are available to job seekers and offer a guaranteed interview upon completion.
Introduction to Customer Service (with Arriva) - Monday to Friday - 10am till 3pm - 18th to 22nd May - The Coleridge Centre, Darlington DL1 5AJ - 1 week
Gain the vital customer service knowledge and interview skills needed to obtain employment. Site tour included.
Parenting and Caring courses
Family Health and Happiness – Wednesdays - 10am till 12pm – 3rd June to 1st July - McNay Street Family Hub, Darlington DL3 6SW - 5 weeks
This course is for parent or carers that are looking to develop their skills in maintaining a happy and healthy home. You will learn how to use a variety of skills to support your child at home and school, whilst developing your self-esteem and mindfulness.
Functional Skills & ESOL
We offer English, Maths and Digital Skills courses from entry level through to GCSE equivalent, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Other learning opportunities
We also offer a wide range of online Continuing Professional Development and Distance Learning courses, Apprenticeship courses and Apprenticeship Vacancies.
Learning & Skills is a further education and training provider based in Darlington. We offer a number of FREE courses to help local adults gain in confidence, upskill and get the job they want. These range for pre-entry level courses for people with limited skills and experience, through to a-level equivalent qualifications. We also offer apprenticeships and courses for younger learners aged between 16 and 18.
