Voluntary and Community Group Needs Survey

No matter what size of group or organisation, we would like to hear what challenges you are facing and what support and funding would help you and those you support in the future.

The lack of a Darlington Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) infrastructure organisation has resulted in some local VCSE groups becoming disjointed from previous networks.  Healthwatch Darlington try to raise awareness of as many local services as possible via our popular weekly e-newsletter and our social media channels.

Our Darlington Organisations Together (DOT) network has become very popular with the smaller organisations, and created a forum to generate opportunities to promote and showcase their work.  Through the network we have encouraged and nurtured organisations to work together on  social issues such as; unemployment in families, mental health services, social prescribing, young carers and many more community services that cannot be solved by services that work in isolation.

We will use the information you provide to enhance understanding within the sector and review how we can all work together to create opportunities to provide support and more collaboration between organisations.  Sharing people, expertise and operational models significantly increases local social impact and reduces inefficiencies and duplication across the sector.
