Who are Care and Share?

The Care and Share Community Group aims to connect people through fun and friendship. People aged 18 years and over are welcome. A typical 2 hour meeting involves time to catch up on what's being going on with each other before the main activity.

Care and Share Well Being Spaces has been running in two Darlington churches for over five years. They are flexible environments for adults to share the same space for a couple of hours that can enhance well being.

People are free to bring their own activity, connect with others or soak in the atmosphere. There is a planned activity each week that they keep varied and interesting with favourites such as quizzes and talks. There is also a quiet area for people to enjoy crafts.

They are not a health and social care service and there is no ‘them and us’ or other distinctions. They are people that practice being ‘all together better’ and give a warm welcome to those who would like to try them out.

Affordable refreshments, light lunches, and snacks are available from the conservatory cafe. This is a pleasant place to sit and relax.

People can choose to take ‘time out’ to find peace of mind by visiting their reflective space.

KEY POINTS:
- FREE entry
- Freedom to come and go
- Inclusive to all adults
- The planned activity starts at 1-30pm for about an hour
- They partner with adult social care mental health
