Newspaper

Dementia Friendly Haughton are working with Dementia Friendly Darlington to make our community a place where people with dementia are included, understood, respected, and able to live well in our community.

We are having a special opening of the Haughton Methodist Cafe (Haughton Green) for a Haughton Dementia Engagement event on

Thursday 24th March 10.00 -11.30am - free tea/coffee and cake.

This is to celebrate and recognise Haughton’s dementia friendly work to date. It will also be a form of engagement, connection, and relaunch. We have had a hard two years, and this is a way of starting the debate on what next.

This is a drop in event, where over a cuppa, you will be able to meet people from Dementia Friendly Haughton, Dementia Friendly Darlington, and Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friendly initiatives. Come along to find out more about how you, your organisation, business, or service can become actively involved. From becoming dementia friends to making your environment more dementia friendly!
